Application procedure

The application form, prospectus and other information are available at the office of Sylhet Women’s Medical College and the filled application form and relevant documents must be handed over to the office by the candidate or her representative in person on the notified date and time.

Document to attach

Students must apply on the prescribed form which can be collected from the Principal’s office. The completed form together with the documents must be submitted on or before the date indicated in the advertisement.

• Attested photocopies of SSC and HSC transcripts or equivalent examinations.
• Attested photocopies of SSC and HSC certificate/mark or equivalent examination.
• Four copies of current passport size photographs.
• Nationality Certificate from Chairman Union Parishad/Ward Commissioner of Metropolitan City of National ID Card.
• Cash confirmation of the purchased entry form.
• The admission form must be duly completed.
• Entry card from DG Health.
• The merit score and rank of the exam conducted by the Directorate General of Health.

Requirements for the admission of a foreign student

• International students must apply in accordance with the rules and regulations of their respective countries through their embassies.
• Students must collect S.S.S / “O” level and H.S.C / “A” level equivalency certificate from Director General of Health Services.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Basic Qualifications and Prerequisites for MBBS Course:

1.HSC or equivalent with Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry).

2.Candidate must obtain the required grade in SSC and HSV examinations.

3.The candidate must secure the required grade in the MBBS entrance examination.

Selection Procedure of Students for MBBS Course:

Based on the approval of the SWMC admissions committee, selection will be made –As per MBBS Entrance Test Merit List.

5% of the total number of students will be selected based on poor and meritorious quota / freedom fighter quota.
