Holy Land Private Limited and Sylhet Health and Education Services Limited came together in 2005 for the noble cause of medical education and healthcare. Together they formed Holy Sylhet Holding Limited.
In 2007, Holy Sylhet Holding Limited (HSHL) started the operation of the college and hospital with the permission of the Government of Bangladesh and after completing all the necessary formalities with the relevant ministries, departments, medical associations and the university.
HSHL also plans to set up a Dental College and a 4-year Nursing College on its 3-Acre plot in the heart of Sylhet City.

Sylhet Women’s Medical College provides separate 10 housed hostel buildings for students. Students living outside the city are entitled to hostel accommodation. Each room is shared by four female students. The rooms are quite large, well ventilated with a clean and disinfected washroom attached. Each student gets one bed with mattress, one wardrobe, ceiling fan, light, one table and chair.
The hostel has a common room with indoor games rooms, a TV room, a reading room, a refrigerator, a dining room, electricity with a 24-hour generator connection. CC cameras are installed for security purposes. after the students. There is also a warden and an assistant warden in the hostel for day-to-day management.

The application form, prospectus and other information are available at the office of Sylhet Women’s Medical College and the filled application form and relevant documents must be handed over to the office by the candidate or her representative in person on the notified date and time.

1.HSC or equivalent with Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry).
2.Candidate must obtain the required grade in SSC and HSV examinations.

Selection Procedure of Students for MBBS Course:
Based on the approval of the SWMC admissions committee, selection will be made –As per MBBS Entrance Test Merit List.
5% of the total number of students will be selected based on poor and meritorious quota / freedom fighter quota.
